About Me

I am a Kentucky native, a graduate of a Christian University [Campbellsville University] with an earned masters and doctorate degrees in history. I am an active historian, with over 50 books, articles, encyclopedia entries, and academic presentations.

I also have a long background in the church after accepting Jesus as my Savior at age 10. My occupation as a university history professor over twenty years has allowed me to hone my skills as a teacher. I have served the local church in a variety of positions including: Sunday school teacher, discipleship teacher, deacon, deacon chair, pastoral search committee chair, and as a teaching or preaching elder for several years. At present, I have a manuscript Planted by God: Surviving and Thriving in the Storms of Life under consideration by a publisher and am writing another manuscript Roads to Zion: Pathways to Intimacy with God.
